She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has provided primary care to patients in Albuquerque for over 15 years. A proud New Mexican, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis University in Denver in 2005 before returning home to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of New Mexico in 2010.

After experiencing firsthand the impact of Direct Primary Care, Eva founded Southwest Modern Medicine to practice relationship-based, accessible, and personalized medicine. Building on that mission, she created TradeWell Health to expand access to high-quality primary care specifically for union members and their dependents—ensuring working families receive timely, affordable, and patient-centered care.

Deeply rooted in the local working community—her father recently retired from Local 412—Eva understands the healthcare challenges union families face and is committed to serving them with integrity and excellence.

She is an active member of the New Mexico Nurse Practitioner Council and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband Vince and their three children.

Jennifer Otero, MSN, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

With over a decade of nursing experience, she has been caring for patients since 2014 and became a Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022. Her clinical background spans the NICU, pediatrics, dermatology, and primary care—giving her a well-rounded perspective on caring for patients at every stage of life.

She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her patients and delivering care that is thoughtful, accessible, and individualized. As a wife and mother of four, she understands the day-to-day challenges families face and brings a compassionate, practical approach to every visit.

Valerie Segura, CMA

Lead Medical Assistant

Valerie Segura is the Lead Medical Assistant with over 7 years of experience in primary care. She is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care and supporting both patients and providers to ensure an efficient and positive clinical experience.

Driven by personal experiences with family health challenges, she is passionate about expanding her medical knowledge to better care for her own loved ones and others in her community. She is committed to continuing her education and growing within the healthcare field, aiming to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves.

Janet Castillo Gonzalez, MA

Medical Assistant

I’m so happy to be part of your care team here at Trade Well Health. My name is Janet, and I’m one of the medical assistants. I was born and raised right here in New Mexico, and I’m incredibly proud to be the daughter of Mexican immigrant parents. My passion for helping others started early, inspired by my grandfather, a rancho medicine man, who taught me the power of healing through presence, patience, and heart. That legacy has stayed with me and continues to shape how I show up for my patients every day.

As a Spanish speaker, I feel especially honored to be a voice and advocate for my community. I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, and cared for just as I would want for my own family. At the heart of it all, I’m here for you. Whether it’s a question, a worry, or simply a moment of reassurance you’re never alone here. I’ll always be right by your side.
